Something that I have not made in years, but certainly ties in to the holidays and Nantucket is a mulled drink. These are generally made similar to hot cider drinks, and were more prevalent many years ago. They are also delicious, simple, and can be made both with or without alcohol.
Heat one can cranberry juice on low heat (about 6 oz)
Add Orange slices studded with cloves
3 Cinnamon sticks
If quite tart add either a few teaspoons maple syrup, or a cup pineapple juice
Serve with Rum or Vodka in a mug
Garnish with Cinnamon Stick and Orange Slice
