slurpee waves" crashing onto the island's shores and headed to the hip and hot Miami Beach for a change of scene- or at least a change in climate!
Chatting up some of our favorite local travel writers and friends and fans of Nantucket, we let the fabulous ladies of In House Ideas guide us to the stylish scene at Lure Fish Bar- a decidedly "Nantucket-y" Miami hot spot with chic blue and white awning stripe banquettes, nautical accents, and a patio with a stellar view of the beach.
Our guests enjoyed crisp Nantucket- themed cocktails like "On the Rock" (made with Absolut Elyx vodka, hand chipped ice, and a twist of star anise) and nibbled on some of our personal favorite bites; raw bar towers, mini lobster rolls, and deviled eggs garnished with caviar.
The bartender even created a spin on Brant Point Grill's signature Lobster Bloody Mary, with their own irresistible version made with Absolut Elyx and garnished with a skewer of shrimp, a pickle spiked olive, a deviled egg, and plenty of spice!
As a parting gift, we made sure everyone had a little taste of 'dessert' to go- Aunt Leah's classic Nantucket chocolate covered cranberries!
A special thanks to WorldRedEye for the fantastic photography!
