The Tap Room Reopens
Nantucket Island Resorts is excited to announce the reopening of the Tap Room in the basement level of the Jared Coffin House! This historical restaurant has undergone a beautiful revamp with floor to ceiling updates, while still keeping the Tap Room's original bones and that traditional Nantucket look and feel.
When the Nantucket Steamship Company first acquired the Ocean House, present-day Jared Coffin House, in 1847, the basement was converted into a billiard saloon and gentlemen's smoking room. From there, over the decades it was transformed into the island spot, known for its New England seafood and unique dishes.
The Tap Room will return with its familiar selection of eclectic food staples on its menu like the quahog chowder, French dip sandwich, and Welsh rarebit. You have to try these dishes before you knock them!
The Jared Coffin House is also getting its own little revamp. The first-floor dining area, where Nantucket Prime once occupied, is being transformed into five beautiful guest suites.
Visit the Jared Coffin House this summer and try out the delicious food from the Tap Room for yourself. Book Now.
