The 45th Daffodil Festival takes place every year the last week of April. The dates fall on April 26 - 28 this year. It unofficially marks the beginning of Nantucket's season; the island opens its doors to welcome both spring and visitors with wide open arms. The weekend is full of spring festivities including art exhibits, wine tastings, an antique car parade, a tailgate picnic, a children's parade, a hat pageant, a dog parade, the Daffodil Regional Shows, and many other events. The Flower Power Party
Date and Time: Friday, April 26, 2019, 6:00 – 8:00 PM
Location: Whaling Museum, 13 Broad Street
The kickoff party to launch Daffodil Festival where guests enjoy hors d'oeuvres, festive libations, a photo booth, and a contest for the best "blooming" outfit!
Antique Car Parade & Tailgate Picnic - Presented by Cape Air
Date and Time: Saturday, April 27, 2019, 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Cars Line up on Main Street
See the island's flower-bedecked vintage cars as they travel down Main Street and out Milestone Road to ‘Sconset. There, enjoy a scenic island picnic.
Daffodil Festival Children's Parade
Date and Time: Saturday, April 27, 2019, 10:30 AM
Location: Children's Beach bandstand, Harbor View Way
Fun for children of all ages and their families! Decorate your bicycle, wagon, skateboard, baby carriage or other self-propelled vehicles with a Daffodil theme, or simply come decked out in your best daffy gear! Ribbons awarded to all participants.
Hat Pageant
Date and Time: Saturday, April 27, 2019, 10:45 AM (Starts immediately after Children's Parade)
Location: Children's Beach bandstand, Harbor View Way
Show off your creativity with a festively decorated, Daffodil-themed hat and join the Pageant! Open to all ages.
